Women generally when we go to the gym to bypass the “weight room”, we have the idea that a little weight lifting will make us be very muscular. But a new study shows that lifting weights and doing some activity (like jogging) is a weight-loss combo that never fails.

The study was conducted for 16 weeks in South Africa and the United States, the participants combined aerobic and weight lifting. Volunteers were monitored in the consumption of carbohydrates, fats, proteins and calories compared to other groups that made only one type of exercise.

It was concluded that the combination of aerobic exercise with weights in some way alter the metabolism and makes those who perform the two activities to lose weight faster.

Running has a great impact in reducing appetite, but if we add to this activity weightlifting, our weight loss efforts become more effective.
